1. Headspace
Headspace is a simple meditation app. Within the clean interface is a load of guided meditations suited for any situation – focus, exam stress and even walking home. As the app says, it is essential to disconnect to reconnect.

2. Streaks Workout
Undeniably, you have already been bombarded with the “To have good academics you need to eat well, sleep long hours and exercise frequently”. Often times there isn’t enough time to do all of that – but Streaks Workout is a straightforward app that has short six-minute workouts. When you are feeling stressed and need a break, take out Streaks and do a quick six-minute workout. It’s been scientifically proven that you will feel better, so give it a try!
3. Reflecty
Reflecty is an app that helps you reflect on your day and any problems you might be dwelling on. When you are feeling stressed it is essential to check in on yourself, and Reflecty guides you through your thoughts. After a simple check-in, you will be back to a productive mindset in no time.

4. Duolingo
Although it might seem silly to add a “school-related” app in a list of apps designed to take a break, it is beneficial. When you feel as though you can’t get anything done and are in a rut, complete a five-minute course on duolingo. Mostly, it’s like making your bed – ticking something off your list – but you actually learn a skill.
5. Nike Run Club
Just like Streaks Workout, Nike Run Club is a perfect way to get moving and those happy endorphins flowing. The app encourages you to get outside in the fresh air and run. It is so calming and freeing to sort of run away from your problems (come on can’t we all relate). And as a big bonus, it tracks your runs so end up earning awards.
